On June 14, 2012, the Koffler Centre of the Arts launched its NEW ART INSIDER PROGRAM with the KOFFLER GALA 2012.

Guests celebrated in style by enjoying a pre-performance dinner reception generously hosted by Angela and David Feldman in their gorgeous backyard. Food was provided by 24 Carat Events, a collaboration between North 44 and Hartmans Kosher Fine Foods. Live music provided by Brian Katz.
In recognition of the their outstanding support of the arts, Senator Linda Frum and Howard Sokolowski were presented with The Cultural Award of Distinction by Lori Starr (Executive Director, Koffler Centre of the Arts and Vice President, Culture, UJA Federation of Greater Toronto), Tiana Koffler Boyman (Chair, Board of Directors, Koffler Centre of the Arts) and Janice Price (CEO, Luminato).
Following dinner, patrons experienced the North American premiere of SADEH21, the electrifying, mesmerizing and provocative new work by Tel Aviv’s BATSHEVA DANCE COMPANY at 2012 LUMINATO at the MacMillan Theatre.
After the 70-minute performance, Koffler patrons were lead across Queens Park from the MacMillan to the glittering Gardiner Museum by the Samba Elegua drumming squad. Once on the gorgeously decorated third floor of the Gardiner, guests enjoyed delicious desserts provided by the Park Hyatt Kosher kitchen. The Batsheva dancers and artistic director Ohad Naharin arrived at the Gardiner to cheers, and mingled and chatted with Koffler patrons enjoying drinks and dessert. Another toast was raised to Senator Linda Frum and Howard Sokolowski, and Luminato, Batsheva and Ohad Naharin were thanked by Tiana Koffler Boyman, Chair, Board of Directors, Koffler Centre of the Arts.
Thank you to all of our supporters, sponsors, patrons and guests for making KOFFLER GALA 2012 a huge success! The event raised over $420,000 for the Koffler Centre of the Arts.
