The Koffler Centre of the Arts is delighted to announce the launch of Thirty Works, an online art sale and fundraiser featuring 30 artworks by 33 artists. The Thirty Works website will be live September 1–15, 2020. Works can be purchased directly through the website.
In times of crisis and isolation, the arts play a critical role in providing hope and inspiration, maintaining community, promoting cross-cultural understanding, and offering new ways of making sense of an ever-more complex world. At the Koffler Centre of the Arts, we aim to bring transformative arts experiences to audiences of all ages and backgrounds and, while the pandemic has necessitated new ways of working and thinking, we have steadfastly continued to realize this vital mission with passion and resilience.
Nevertheless, this has been a challenging time for arts organizations and for the artists we work with. The arts sector has been among the hardest hit by the COVID-19 economic disruption, and we need to rally support to continue producing and presenting cultural programming that feeds the mind and soul while further nurturing our artistic community.
Thirty Works is an online art sale and fundraiser featuring
30 artworks by
33 artists who have been engaged with the Koffler Gallery and its audiences through past and upcoming exhibitions. For each sale,
50% of the proceeds will go to the artist who created the work to sustain their livelihood and continued artistic practice amidst the COVID-19 emergency.
50% of the funds raised will support the Koffler Centre of the Arts, helping to ensure our organization’s sustainability and to keep our programming free and accessible.
The sale showcases an enticing collection of artworks by the following artists:
2Fik, Sara Angelucci, Barbara Astman, Ghazaleh Avarzamani, Mary Anne Barkhouse, Nicole Collins, Sarindar Dhaliwal, Erika DeFreitas, Sameer Farooq, Leila Fatemi, nichola feldman-kiss, Nicolas Fleming, Rafael Goldchain, Adad Hannah, Iris Häussler, Kristiina Lahde, Sanaz Mazinani & Mani Mazinani, Caroline Monnet, Ed Pien, Birthe Piontek, Howard Podeswa, Lyla Rye, Carol Sawyer, Penelope Stewart, Karen Tam, José Luis Torres, Jinny Yu, Shaheer Zazai, Shellie Zhang, Z’otz* Collective
