Engel has learned and practised various meditation teachings from South Asian and Jewish lineages. Her guided meditations are accessible, exploring embodied experience of being present, releasing tension through breath, feeling compassion, safe, and supported.
Alysa-Beth Engel is a visual artist, writer, and yoga instructor who facilitates guided meditation. In 1990, she was introduced to breathing practices and mindfulness by a friend from Sri Lanka. Since then, Engel has learned and practised various meditation teachings from South Asian and Jewish lineages. Her guided meditations are accessible, exploring embodied experience of being present, releasing tension through breath, feeling compassion, safe, and supported.
This programme is recommended for participants age 16 and over.
Folding chairs will be provided for your seat in our meditation circle. If you prefer sitting on the floor, please bring your own cushion, blocks, blankets or mat.
